Indiana University Northwest (IU Northwest) is a public university established in 1963 as a regional
campus of Indiana University. The campus is located approximately 10 miles from IL/IN Boarder via
I80/94. Students will find more than 70-degree programs, 20 graduate degrees, more than 60 student
clubs and organizations to choose from and 10 winning RedHawk athletic teams to root for. IU
Northwest is also home to one of Northwest Indian’s top business schools and only medical school.
IU Northwest costs less than many other four-year colleges in Illinois. ILLINOIS RESIDENTS do not pay out
of state tuition! We offer Illinois students a special tuition rate that’s nearly 40% less than IU out-of-
state tuition—a savings of nearly $9,000 per year. With the Midwest Student Exchange Program Illinois
residents will pay around $11,400 per year to attend IU Northwest.
Art lovers will not be disappointed on our campus because of our three story 126,300 square foot Arts &
Sciences building completed in 2017. Fine Art students have plenty of space in this building to display
their work and hone talents. Performing Arts students can craft their artistic skills on center stage
within the state-of-the art 500 seat theatre. Come an see what more IU Northwest has to offer.
