A Surgical Technologist, is an essential, high demand career, that works in the operating room. Students will complete this program with an AAS degree and are eligible to take the national certification exam. (NBSTSA) Once prerequisite courses are completed, the program begins each Fall and lasts three semesters. A Surgical Technologist prepares the operating room and assists the surgeon during surgery. We are known to be the experts in making sure instruments in the operating room are sterile, in order to ensure safety for not only the surgeon, but also the patient.
